Cosmos Majestic Moon
In 2023 we decided to do what I always dreamed of doing and breed our Arabian mare, Star, in hopes of producing my very first stallion prospect. We began the search not just for the perfect stallion - but the perfect stallion to compliment her in such a way that the resulting foal would be an asset to the sport horse world. I was aiming to produce a horse that Arabian horse people would love, but that would also be capable of producing horses pleasing to the horse world as a whole. We found that stallion at Atkins Arabians and drove out to meet the owner, Sandy. While there we met Cosmos Majestic Moon, who was for sale. We were in love, but not in the market, as I was set on carrying Star’s lines through my program.
I networked Cosmos to all of my close friends interested in the breed - and while everyone agreed he was beautiful, no one was in the market for a stallion. I could not get him out of my head and routinely reached back to his breeder to ask about him and if anyone had expressed any interest.
When Star vet checked not in foal - and complications made me decide not to retry, the breeder was kind. She made all the standard offers - recovering my mare or another mare, refunding the stud fee. Then, because I asked about Cosmo so much, she offered to just put the stud fee towards his purchase.
Sometimes things just happen the way they are supposed to, and so in July of 2024 we brought Cosmos Majestic Moon home to Equuleus Equine, LLC.
Cosmo is a 2013 Arabian stallion standing approximately 15.2 hands with bone and substance to envy. He boasts rare bloodlines and the opportunity to diversify bloodlines in existing programs. We look forward to offering him to a limited amount of mares in 2025 - preferences given to Arabian mares with a sport horse background and also non-Arabian performance mares. Our primary focus, however, is furthering Cosmo’s life experience and performance resume, and we look forward to bringing him into the show ring in 2025.
